Lines drawn, bitten, pressed, and multiplied across the paper surface.

A print is an image that remembers the pressure required to exist.

Paper looks fragile until it outlives the hand that marked it. Engraving, etching, woodcut, lithography, and drawing each leave a different account of pressure: cut, bitten, rubbed, transferred, or dragged.

Look closely at the edges of a line. Reproduction is not the absence of an original gesture. In these works it is the method by which the gesture learned to travel.
